Therapeutic
Therapeutic massage is broad definition, massage is the manipulation of superficial layers of muscle and connective tissue to enhance their function and promote relaxation and well-being.
Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension.
Sports
Sports massage focuses on muscles relevant to the event. For athletes who train continuously, the goal is to enhance endurance, lessen the chance of injury and shorten the time needed to recover from an event.
Pregnancy
A special Swedish massage or acupressure treatment administered to a pregnant woman as she rests on her side.
Reflexology
massage based around a system of points in the hands and feet thought to correspond, or "reflex," to all areas of the body.
